Like he said, Geological Loop is cool, might as well hit the Ute Fire Tower while you’re there, at least look at it.

    Spirit lake is cool too.

Then you can go across to Hoop Lake up to Fallon Creek Meadow, down to Henry’s fork and then off to places further East I don’t have time to mess with

Looking at last week of August and first week of Sept. Depends on when the trailer build is complete. Been waiting 13 months. They make cool trailers in UT. I’m bringing some AZ money up to get me one.

I’m open to a meet up, as long as your a gentleman. My wife and I wheel and fish, among other things.

I’ll probably be back up in Logan by then so.

There’s a bunch of smaller lakes along that route, Sheep Creek, Long Park, Brownie, Spirit and Hoop that are probably ok fishing.

    where’s the trailer at?

We used to go to Capitol Reef every Memorial Day. The campground was half the size and there were only a few campsites occupied. We would pick asperagus in the orchard that has now been turned into campsites. You probably know that the campsites require reservations a year ahead now, and it is packed with people.
We have often lamented talking to people about how wonderful a camping spot it was, because we've thought our talking led to the influx of people. But realistically it is the growing population in Utah and elsewhere. The empty spaces are going to fill as long as people continue to breed like rabbits.

Is anyone on here looking for a job in supply chain? Buyer/planner role in medical. Prefer a supply chain or industrial engineering degree with 2-3years experience but looking at new grads as well. Or if y’all know of anyone let me know.

I’m so glad you all have something to blame your problems on. I’m amazed by your logic. If Mormons have such an influence on Utah and everyone wants to move here then Mormons should get credit for the great lifestyle. Just like it’s been for nearly 200 years, mormons are hated just because. Drinking laws are much worst elsewhere. High morals are great for families. Get the hell out of Utah if you don’t like it!

It's not the drinking laws or the "high morals" I object to. It's the people preaching high morals and sitting as judges in elemenary school competitions that make sure non-Mormon kids don't win. Cheating to deny legitimately superior efforts to ensure Mormon kids get their ego stroked and the other kids are denied their just due. How the courts deny access to non-Mormons if they are suing Mormons. How Mormons win awards in public venues without the Mormon award givers even considering other entries, and how if it is reported to a Mormon run newspaper the information is deemed to not be newsworthy. How non-Mormons are interviewed for jobs and offered less money because they don't tithe to the right church. And I could go on... but "good" LDS people don't want to hear it.

I've personally experienced each of these examples. And these examples are exactly the reasons Mormons were "oppressed" and felt the need to leave Missouri in 1839 and Illinois in 1846.

My roots go back to the original polygamist pioneers, so I was here first. Love it or leave it is so boomer, that said Utah would be a better place if you left. Personally being a local, raised LDS, I don't have a problem here. However, I know many people mormon and non that have moved here and had problems living with the local religion. I think it's only fair to be honest with outsiders that the LSD faithful can be a bit tough.

As far as Utah being a good place for families, give me a break. Utah is dead last of the 50 states on school spending per student. Gangs, got plenty, even in the "rich" schools. Drugs, yup. Violence, yup. Racism, yup. Every other evil, yup. In the schools there are bullies and then there are Mormon bullies. (Anyplace with a predominant religion is going to have religious bullies, so not just picking on mormons here.) Being a non-mormon parent in Utah comes with some extra baggage helping your children deal with the Mormon bullies.

I've traveled, a lot, and every where I go I ask the question would this be better than Utah. IMO everywhere is the same. Weigh the good / bad of a place and on the whole the scales read the same everywhere. People leaving California are going to find Utah is better in some regards and worse in others.

You have nothing on me. My family on both sides pulled handcarts and came in wagons as the first group that entered the valley. I’ve lived here for 62 years. I’m going to take the high road and be done with this conversation. Just know I disagree. Thanks for your opinion. I learn and confirm my thoughts.
