Most likely somebody had recognized him or knows who he is and had decided to rat him out.

Friendly FYI. 2010-2015 2nd Gen tunes are now validated and available. These are done using HPTuners software so they have a higher cost of entry, but the tunes are really nice. Base as well as full custom MT and AT tunes are available.

2010 MT I did this morning. All thumbs up.

Either you’re interested or you’re not. No hard feeling here either way.

Customer feedback has been very positive.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
I would guess butt Dino meaning better drivability.

Butt dyno for now. Dyno’s are great for seeing what WOT pulls give you, dyno’s don’t mean a whole lot for drive ability unless your commute is full throttle stop light to stop light. $7000 3rd Gen Magnuson SC makes 30% more power, but still drives like shit in 4, 5, and 6 gears on the AT trucks because they didn’t tune the TCU.

Reality is the stock tunes are very conservative and have many maps where throttle, air, fuel, and timing are severely limited. Simply removing a lot of those makes a big difference.

I never collect any $ until after the customer has driven the tune on their truck and likes it. I’ll happily flash them back to stock and eat the $80-200 credit cost if they don’t think the tune is worth it. Never had that happen in a few hundred tunes.

It’s not for everyone, but I sure have made a lot of people love their trucks a lot more.

    **Edit**
The 3rd Gen tunes have been dyno’d. You can see that in the KDMax thread. 2nd Gen tunes which are not KDMax and are done on HPT have not yet been dyno’d.

I enjoy all the tune talk, but come on the Utes somehow managed to pull out victory today. Let’s acknowledge that.

I would almost be interested if it made the truck a little “lighter” but I think when I put some gears in to help correct 33’s it will fix most of my heavy feeling. Afterwards I could be interested.

Yeah, I get that “my truck feels lighter” feedback a lot after tunes are installed. Tunes are good after regear’s also as you can properly adjust shift points for the new gear ratios. 3rd gen Tacoma’s actually will hit a output shaft speed limiter when 5.29 gears are installed and can’t go over 85 mph. That can be resolved with a tune as well.

Yeah I have 5.29’s and experienced that even with a tune until my most recent tune update.

    Sorry for the late reply.

Before moving to Utah, we used to visit every couple of months and I found the local community extremely welcoming. I run into out of staters all the time on the trails and am always friendly, as are the people I hang with.

In our run up to moving to the sticks in southern Utah, we were warned about how hard it would be to live here if we weren't LDS... we found all of that to be false. We were quickly and warmly welcomed into a very small community.

One thing that gets people riled up out here is the out of staters who come and bring their crime, their litter and their bad manners with them. In most cases, you will be warmly welcomed as long as you respect the land and respect the people. It's no more simpler or complicated than that.

But why assume that will be a TW person? How about assume a TW person moving to UT maybe a little better than some jackass off the street? And it’s not just you. This thread is chock full of those type of comments to TW people looking visit or move to UT. Other regional threads, someone asks where to visit or where to move and people chime in with ideas. This thread sometimes multiple people say the same go away we don’t like your kind bullshit to the same person. It gets old.

I hear that a lot from people that haven't gone deep enough in the culture to realize how oppressive it really is.

And I've lived here for decades and both the big city and rural.
