I'm right in Southern Utah also... and I have a 2003 Tacoma DoubleCab that was converted from auto to manual, and boy do I wish it was back as an auto... Wanna trade transmissions (and ECUs etc etc)??

I'm slightly familiar with you rig. I like the idea of it but I'll have to think on it. How's that SC holding up? I'm sure it handles black ridge pretty well

I cheated. I am originally from SoCal and moved to Utah back in 2016. My frame is showing signs of rust, but its not East Coast bad. Every Year, I usually take off all my suspension components and do a Sand/ Paint on Frame spots.

Too much work for me. That's just time and effort that should not have to be done with a well built truck.

Chripe, I have sixty year old vehicles with solid frames and no special care.

Necessity. The electric motor inside the old one gave up the ghost. Also im pretty sure I meant to post that on the what have you done page. A few guys had been helping me out with finding the correct wiring diagrams and testing procedures.

However I have been meaning to check in here to see if anyone else is planning on coming to the Trail Hero event. I ended up volunteering for the event this year and really had to make sure 4wd was working.

I’m really looking forward to doing TOTW. And am curious about rose garden hill downhill.

Lol what? Lol fun? Lol ridiculous? Trails off-road shows it as a 6 downhill and harder uphill, which makes sense to me. So any insight you have would be helpful.

The actual boulder, I mean rocky section.... Is a couple hundred yards or so. Wasnt too bad except one spot had to use alternate line but so did buddies in jeeps with 35s and 37s, buddy in jeep on 40s didnt have a problem. If you can do both sides on Top of World you will be fine

Think we went main road to gemini bridges, easy and scenic to rose then all the way around to top of world. Awesome route for sure, some tight spots on side of clifs. Started in morning got back to town evening if I remember correctly

Hey All, been awhile since I’ve posted here and I’m sure have missed many a conversation about this, but was curious about suspension install vendors/service here in the Salt Lake area? Looking to have new OME suspension installed and found out Cruiser Outfitters (who installed my initial kit) no longer does installs from what I hear. Am aware of 4 Wheel Parts, Jack It in West Valley, etc but was curious of other possible options. Appreciate any info/guidance y’all have. Cheers

Also, I reset the ECU after cleaning the MAF... when I turned the truck on both driver side door speakers are now not working. Any ideas? They are aftermarket Kickers.
