That looks spectacular. I’m glad someone is getting out. The weather is phenomenal.

It looks like where all suffering, so I guess in a weird way, that’s good. I’ll chalk it up to the winter blend.

    Cheers!

Well, wife and I hit up a few petroglyphs and ruins heading up Lower Butler Wash road on the west side of Comb Ridge outside of Bluff.

But when we started our drive into Arch Canyon, I could not get the 4wd to engage.
    Fuck!:annoyed:

So we gave up on off roading and went to a sweet camp spot I spotted last time we were here.

I have had the opposite I gained a few mpg. But it is because I changed my spark plugs that were 60k miles over due.

That brings back a sweet memory for me. My mom just passed away in April, so I’ve been thinking about her a lot. One of her favorite places on earth was the very place you speak of.

I remember about oh maybe 25 years ago she went there for a 3 day weekend with her best friend after a really hard point in life. She came home from her visit and about an hour later there was a knock at the door. It was FedEx with an envelope. The folks there had found two random socks and a hair clip she had left and immediately FedExed them to her.

She opened it and just cried a little, and said, “It’s a wonderful thing to see that there will always be kind people in the world. Be kind.” That has stuck with me forever. Thanks for the reminder of this place and the wonderful memories I associate with it.

I placed my preorder and now I find myself doing the waffling thing. I’ve got a pro in electric lime metallic headed my way sometime in 2022. But now I’m wondering if it’s a waste… and I should just get the SR5 and select Trail edition with the full options package. It’s like 5k less (which isn’t a huge issue to be honest). But I can get the army green, which may just have a bit more longevity to my enjoyment of the color. But no leather or heated seats or the customized settings like crawl and gravel and so forth.

What does the brain trust recommend. Again…. Not in a hurry, but is the Trail more likely to actually get built to my spec and delivered before summer? Questions questions. I guess it’s time to do some work on the 4Runner. It’s going to be in full time duty a bit longer than I had originally anticipated.

Are you gonna use it on trail or go soccer mom style like all the other TRD Pro 4Runners in Utah? :D

I ask because if the former, I'd go trail edition or TRDOR, then use the delta in down payment to fund better tires, lockers, armor, whathaveyou. From the people I talk to with various Toyota/Lexus products, most don't even use MTS much if at all anyway, so you're basically paying 5K for nicer seats.

Only real upside I see is a better resale value cuz its a pro, but market data on how many buyers like lime green vs prior Pro colors that are a more muted has yet to be seen. I think it'll prove to be a lot more divisive color.

Its your money and you don't have to justify anything to anyone, so at the end of the day its whatever makes you smile.

maybe in the future. Once the current lift goes out I’ll go all in in 35’s. Definitely going up to 33’s right now though.
