Give Corey a call at Big O on 7th E in Sandy, that not too far from you and it’s a great shop.

The roads in Herriman never got touched. They pretreated the day before, but it was too cold and did nothing. I didn't see a plow out salting all day in my neck of the woods.

I don't understand where all the workers went...is the unemployment rate artificially low because it only counts people actively looking for employment???

Short answer is yes but that goes for the federal BLS statistics as well.

Anecdotal evidence of mine talking to a few of the freight guys that are hanging around our loading docks at work is that a lot of the truckdriver workforce in certain areas was close to retirement age, and so a decent number decided to retire instead of deal with X,Y,Z issues related to covid, job conditions, etc.

People my age (20s going on 30s) aren't signing up to be CDL drivers at a rate to replenish the fleet and so you get a shortage.

I like my white collar corporate accountant paycheck, but I do now appreciate this part of "Office Space". I still ponder being a game warden every once in a while.

Spent the last 2 hours at work winching, maxtraxing, and snatching people out of our parking lot that got buried during night shift in little cars. Fun times.

And they always asked me why I had my truck so decked out

Does anyone have a snowblower that doesn’t suck, or can recommend one that doesn’t suck?

If there's a Home Depot in Cuneo, Italy, then I'm sure that could be the arranged meeting spot :D

Today's storm where I live was one of the worst for snowblowers. I have a foot on the ground with the bottom 1 inch being slush. It was also 24 degrees outside. As soon as you uncover the slush layer it freezes to your snowblower chute and clogs. I still have a 20+ year old 2-stroke 6.5HP single stage Toro that I've kept running all these years. It seems to do slightly better than my neighbors 4-stroke versions. I have to get parts online now but better than $800 for a new one. I would guess a big 2 or 3 stage blower would work better but 90% of the time it's overkill unless you live in Park City.
