Went through a car wash a couple weeks ago and got a ton of water dumping into the cabin air filter and blower motor. Narrowed it down to the cowl cover so I ordered a new one and put it on. Also cleaned out underneath while I was in there. It was a little bit of a pain to put on, definitely would have been a lot easier with two people but so far no leaks now to get a new blower motor :spending:
Also word of advice, use oem clips for the ends of the cowl. Aftermarket ones don’t hold it tight enough so it’s worth the extra buck to get oem just my experience.

Hobart is awesome and I'm not really sure why its a "budget version" since it doesn't seem that much cheaper, maybe its more of a color choice.

In my experience the Honda or Toro paddle type are awesome until the snow gets a little heavy/wet then you'll want a metal auger type but they are much slower typically.

Did you end up getting one? My snapper 2 stage 24” is a beast & gets the big jobs done. Anything a single stage can do I figure I can just shovel.

It’s okay, but not great. I had a Toro Snowmaster that was pretty solid. It had those rubber like blades, and was single stage. It struggled with the wet stuff, but everything else it through like a champ. Not the case with this new one.

The steer assist is nice, but it doesn’t throw snow into the neighbors yard.

Made the trip to the Rose Bowl. Flew to St. George, then drove to LA with my x brother in law. It took us 5-1/2 hours to get their. It actually went by fairly quickly.

Other than the outcome the experience was fantastic. Proud of the Utes as they gave it a hell of a try. Defense had no answers.

There were so many Ute fans there. It was unbelievable. They announced around 87,600, and I swear 70,000 were there for Utah.

@H3llRid3r that looks like a stout machine. Maybe when we get less slushy snow it'll send it soaring? That looks real similar to my Snapper which will almost put it across the yard and into the neighbor's driveway when conditions are right.

Sorry about the loss, what a trip though. Looks like a great experience for you to have been there.

Mine is sensitive to engine RPM, are you wide open on the throttle?

Xactly! In my mind it should throw it over the roof and into the neighbors backyard, but it doesn’t.

Yeah, the outcome of the game sucked, but the experience was like no other. There were so many Ute fans their. I’ve never seen so many concentrated in one place. I can’t even describe how incredible it was.

This. It seems to be ultra sensitive to throttle. I was having some major issues with this. It was to the point that the auger was in slow motion.

I took it back and dropped it off. They called me later and said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I went over and they let me fire it up and throw some snow in the parking lot. It seemed like a new machine. They claimed they didn’t do anything to it, but someone did.

Do you know something I’m missing? It’s a lot better now, but could use another 500 to 1000 rpm.

Ive been two years in a row, so not sure about previous years, but generally it’s the weekend before the winter solstice.

It’s been awesome so far. Great people.

The issue with the two stage is they don't like light fluffy snow as much but get a good 4"+ of heavier snow and full throttle my two stage Honda will throw it with deadly force and asshole distance. When there is 4" of fluffier snow my single stage 2 stroke toro pulls me along and gets it across the street if I aim the chute up.

This is why I have two snow blowers and because my father-in-law can't stop buying them and giving me his old ones.
