I would suggest taking off from Panquitch and heading over Hells Backbone to Escalante. You can camp in the Petrified Forest. From there you can take the Burr Trail. Call and see if the ferry across Lake Powell is running or just go north to Moab. You can hit Dead Horse point and drive on Shaffers Trail. Do some Google earth’ing and see exactly where to go.

Water levels are too low to run the ferry. We have no date for future runs as water levels are not anticipated to recover this spring.

This was about 10 years ago, after loading at Hall's Crossing:

Cedar Breaks is still closed, it will be closed until Memorial Day typically. Drove up to Brian Head a few days ago and it was a ghost town and snowy.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case but threw out the suggestion anyway since someone may search this up at a later date.

If you want fresh amazing meats, make a stop in Parowan off I-15. Dry Lakes Ranch Beef is the spot. Open Thursday through Monday. Best cow you’ll ever put in your mouth. They also have local pork, lamb, and chicken. Put some in a cooler and cook a steak over an open fire... :hungry:

They are friends with them. https://www.instagram.com/p/CWW0z7trVFf/

The ladies at Dry Lakes are amazing. They gifted me a bunch of stuff for Valentine’s Day. Short story: I gifted something to someone there that had maybe $30 value and they loaded me up next time I showed up. I got intimidated by the tomahawk and gifted it to a neighbor. :)

Dam, now i see its not running. This drought is ridiculous. Idaho is super dry, with little snow again - had the second driest February in history. Looks like a long fire season ahead (the new "5th" season of the year is "Fire Season")

If it's not running maybe you can drive across?

I know that from the boat launch in Hite you can't even see any water.

I suppose it’s all done as sacrifice for weight, and to improve mileage.

Any Issues with passing emissions in Utah with a fuel cell? I know in California that was a grey area. You might be able to use the stock sending unit and gas cap and sometimes they will pass you.

I haven't ran this truck through utah emmisions. They generally look for a sealed system that holds pressure without any check engine lights for "evap leak" codes.

The stock sending unit is only used for fuel level gauge and the OEM gas cap would be some work to fit on to a fuel cell but might be able to be done. I transfer over the oem fuel pump assembly into the fuel cell to retain OEM reliability and off the self parts if anything fails down the road.

As quick as every shop does the emissions that I've been to, I'm shocked they'd notice. Last place had my truck in and out before I even sat down in the waiting area.

@concentric_killa, any update on your 3D project? I think you were making new headlights, but can’t remember for sure.

I haven’t been in a while. I want to say it was cleared out last year. Not as exciting as it one was.

I actually just got home from a month long work trip overseas. I need to order the headlights I want to use and then build my model around those. It might get put on the back burner though.

I need some new tires and want to upgrade to 17's. I have been looking at the method 307's (bronze, bead grip). Might do my tire wheel upgrade before spending $1000 on headlights that will eventually be used on the truck lol.

I still need to print some parts for my printer to finally 'complete' it.
