Count on airing down….some areas of deep sand. Gives a whole new meaning to the term”tourist trap”.

Thanks, looking on Google it looks like side by side heaven. Again on Google I did see a big old surburban at the entrance to the canyon so there’s hope for me. Will definitely air down and if it starts to get bad we’ll stop and hike.

We did a fair bit of sand trails in Imperial sand dunes down S AZ so I feel like I know our limits.

My truck is gonna be unique in the sense it’s been on black, white, green and red sands in Hawaii and since travelling has been to Imperial sand dunes, Oceana sand dunes, CO Great sand dunes, White sands (silica) and soon to be the coral pink sand dunes. Have to say the coolest sand is the green!

Thanks again and I’ll try not to be one of those tourists!

@Gunshot-6A you have me thinking about getting stuck now!

Have always wandered if my bed mat would help in a sandy situation as a traction board.

Bed mat and floor mats have rescued people before.

You'll be fine as long as you have a decent head on your shoulders willing to turn around if things get too sporty. That's where so many people go wrong around here.

Being early season and cooler temps, the sand wont be so loose, so you'll be better off than trying in say, August.

Also, bring lots of water. It's SUPER dry here and throws a lot of people off their game just existing for the first few day at least.

I hear ya, I think we’ve been north of 5,000 ft elevation now for 6 weeks or so and have been in AZ, NM, CO for 8 weeks or so. Used to live 8,500 ft in the rockies so know about dehydration for sure.

    I’ve even been moisturising!!

At least down here you don’t need to worry about mold. Travelling through WA,OR and northern CO last winter we had so much condensation in the travel trailer I seriously thought we were gonna ruin it!

I'm sure tow people can be tough to deal with but I know insurance will always try and screw people so this makes me more likely to use Matts services.

So, do have your Taco shipped stateside on a regular basis? How does the logistics of something like this work?

We have a tow truck at work we use on a regular basis. He tells me how people are constantly claiming they did damage to their vehicle in transport.

I get the impression life has made them mean.

Everything apart from humans goes to and from HI on boat so it’s not really a big ordeal, just $$$

We’re traveling, towing a travel trailer and potentially relocating so shipping the taco made sense.

Picture is from last year at Sand Hollow and I had been pressing my luck for 2 days before I finally got stuck. traction boards are pretty awesome and having a good shovel goes a long way. Having a buddy with a good shovel is even better. You will probably be just fine but if you need help some of the locals always need a good reason to go play in the sand

I want to but I won't. Maybe if W.E. Rock wasn't coming to me this weekend

I think my brother is planning a Moab trip in a few weeks too

Great looking truck, love the red/black accents.

I’m a fairly sensible driver but you know, shit happens… but I’m sure I’ll be fine, I’ve got a turd gen and it’s got crawl control ;)

I will remember to air down as recently I’ve been running around 45psi because I’m towing
