If you are in the market for a shop to do it, Legends in Spanish Fork did a fantastic job fixing up my first gen a few years ago, and got the paint perfect even on a decade+ old truck.

 

Tha ks guys, that truck ended up having frame rust , so I passed on the truck. Search continues

 

They ALL do, the question is just to what extent. Good luck, clean 1st gens are getting harder to find but still out there. Somewhere.

 

Yea this one was borderline unsafe frame rust. It was flaking off bad on the front horns and a uca had a rust hole through it. Rear spring perch had been re welded from what appeared to be a rust separation.

Been looking around to see if there was any place local that sprayed fluid film for just this reason.

 

point s tire does. I saw them doing a jeep when I was in there last.

I just paint mine with a rust encapsulator called chassis saver. Or when I'm being lazy I spray it with farm and agriculture rustoleum

 

Yeah I already spent my yearly allotment of time under a vehicle replacing the clutch and fuel pump on my 92 ford ranger last month…

 

Bonneville Offroad Racing still has one open spot for running a checkpoint this weekend in Jackpot, NV. All that's needed is to sit in a comfy chair, and write down a car number and current time on your watch as it drives past for tracking purposes.

I had a commitment and couldn't make it for this one, but if anyone wants an in for getting to be around sick SxSs, buggies, up to trophy trucks, this is a great opportunity.

Anyone recommend a place to line-x or raptor line my 2011? I want it either Toyota cement or Toyota desert sand.
I want to cover the entire truck. I would bring it with all my armor off.

I might do it myself but the cab is the only portion that seems tricky. I do have the 'professional'' raptor gun already, but my garage space is limited at my house (two one car doors on a two car garage).

I would prefer line-x, but it needs to be tintable to one of the above colors.

Idk if rhino lining of Utah has a location out there but a lot of people use them out in the basin

 

Not sure how rhino lining is now, but it used to be crap. It wasn't UV stable and it couldn't be tinted. I'll check and see if they have gotten better.

I have some parts of my truck that have line-x on it. It has held up great for the past 7 years. Just wish I would had done my entire truck initially.
