Anyone have a recommendation for a shop or someone that will install a locker and possibly new gears in the SLC area?

Thanks! I'll give them a call. I'm not in a huge rush so waiting list will be fine

They're both pretty tight with the rest of the Toyota "scene" here in the valley, so they may be able to point you to someone else reputable if they're too booked up as well.

Gotta love mother nature forcing your hand for house mods.

I finally tore into the last section of my basement last week. I noticed a moisture spot on my wood paneling from 1950. Turns out, It was coming from the hatch area from when the poured the front porch. They left an access hole (for some reason??). All the moisture from the outside planter boxes was getting drawn into this cavity (yes I have rain gutters that drain away from the house). I have since drilled holes in my porch which hopefully will vent the soil moisture from this cavity. Then I patched the hole with 4" of rigid foam paneling along with spray foam. Termite damage was minimal, but I ended up reinforcing the area that was affected.

I ripped out the remaining paneling, painted with Dryloc, installed my 1.5" foam, and built my 2x4 walls and ran electrical, and just installed some rock wool insulation. I am now working on one of those fancy fireplace kickouts. I bought an electric 'fire place' with those sweet LED's from Wayfair. Should be done with this portion this weekend. I still have the ceiling to dig into, but that will wait till after my work trip.

Haha! I am over the hump now. Gunna install 7pcs of drywall today and then work on my wood accent wall for the Tv/ 'fireplace'. I went to that store called 'Got Wood' and picked up some reclaimed wood.

I still have a lot of work in this section of the basement but I need to remove the drywall from the ceiling. The list has a lot of small tasks but those will take hours to complete. I still have to insulate the rest of my Rim Joist with rigid foam (2"). Replace some wiring for some upstairs outlets. That usually takes 1-4hrs per outlet. Install the remaining LED lights, and then drywall the ceiling and Tape/Mud... Oh and I need to build custom trim boxes for the windows..

But it will have to wait till I get back in October....

Here is what the fireplace 'kickout' wall will look like. The only thing missing is a 'floating' shelf between the tv and the heater. That floating shelf will store an Xbox pwr supply, and Misc HDMI, etc. The shelf will slide over the outlets in the center of the wall...

My wife introduced me to Trello. It is an online task manager.. My list is growing daily.....

Yeah. I heard it this morning. My first thought was a transformer blew. Low and behold it was a meteor.

Anyone got a good handyman? Need a professional opinion on the water leaking around my window. I sealed up what I could but I'm not sure that was the proper fix. I'm thinking bad installation of the casement window with improper flashing. But want a professional's opinion/take. DM me if you like.

I'll ask our facility guy at work. He's used just about every professional handyman / contractor in Northern Utah it seems.
