Fair enough. FWIW, I've had pretty decent luck emailing tech support at Leer and getting answers. For example, they've sent me manuals and wiring diagrams for the fuse box and dome light in mine, just cause I asked.

Edit again: Leer doesn't make the clamps, it's a third party manufacturer. Here are the clamps that are in my shell: https://gciclamps.com/products/tacoma-rail-clamp/

That’s good to hear. I’ll email them and see if I can get something.

Went out to Monte Cristo yesterday and the trails were amazing. A couple inches of snow made it a surprisingly smooth ride. Unfortunately I couldn’t fit the family in the Tacoma so I had to take the Jeep (my apologies).

Haha I understand why. Just picked it up this year and each time I drive it I love it more and more. I’ve been surprised how much it has in common with my Tacoma.

They’re cheap on KSL so maybe you’ll have to heal your pain.

If I could buy a brand new 2000/01 I would step up in a heartbeat. Best vehicle I've ever owned, and I've owned four.

What made the decision for the fuel cell in the bed? Frame rail clearance? I ask because the fuel filler neck seems like it'd be really high for pump fill-up, though that's sort of a nitpick.

The fuel cell went to bed to make room for the 4link. The driver side upper link goes right through where the factory tank was. The other option is to put a fuel cell where the spare tire was but I don’t like to do that, as the weight behind the axle drastically changes between full and empty. Which results in the handling characteristics changes depending on your fuel level. It also protects the fuel cell from rocks up in the bed.

No offense but you probably could have done a better job with the fuel filler. It’s like six feet off the ground and kinked.

I’m keeping mine, just saw this one while browsing KSL. Same question though … I would want to get a lot more time & miles out of a build after investing that much $$

A lot of custom fab for that sort of setup. Probably worth more like $60K, but gotta start somewhere.

Anyone here have lights wired up on their front bumper that can show me how you organize your wires? Would like to keep my engine bay nice and clean (SL or UT county). Thanks!

Get some wire loom at your local parts store and stuff the wires in that.
