Probably caught a rock just right.
I'd still email to inform them. 99% sure non warranty but for DOT purposes they might want it.

Hey I apologize for jumping in this forum. I’m from Detroit and in town for a few months. I’m looking to upgrade my suspension on 2021 OR. Any shop recommendations in SLC area? There’s a lot of shops out here. Thanks in advance.

    Same crap everyone else got
    Hello Utah,

Looking for some advice. I'm flying in the SLC Feb 25th to go skiing for a couple days at Solitude. Was planning on renting a car, but i'm concerned that if the roads are bad in the canyons to get to the resort the car wont be able to handle them or utah dot won't let me go up the canyon b/c i'm not 4wd or won't have the the proper snot tires or chains on the rental. Then what would my options be? Can uber up to solitude b/c i'll have 2 ski bags plus my departure flight is like 5:30 am on Tuesday so i don't think it will be easy finding an uber at 4am to get back to the airport to fly out.

We have looked in the individual shuttle services which seem like they will be about $160 for me and my wire each way.

Am I over thinking this and I should I just rent a car? Maybe buy snow chains at walmart when I get there for the rental to have just in case? Skip the chains? Better options?

I can't be the only person with these concerns when visiting the ski resorts. What is everyone else doing?

    Thanks in advance.

The car rental places at the airport usually have some cars prepped to meet the canyon traction requirements. I would call your rental place and see if they can hook you up with one.
I also wouldn't be surprised if uber/lyft was available that early to get you to the airport. But it would cost almost as much as the private car/shuttle.

There was a "ski bus" that was available to go to resorts back in the day. I don't know if they run those anymore.

It's nearly impossible to get a phone call to the actual locations desk now a days. I tried all yesterday to multiple places and all I got was their call center reservation lines. When I was finally given phone numbers to the actual site locations, no one ever answered the phones.

As of now, the weather looks pretty tame for those days so I'm leaning towards renting a car (free with points also) and just seeing what happens?

Does that bus go from the airport to the resorts and back 24/7? My biggest concern with relying on other modes of transportation is trying to get to the airport at 4am on tuesday.
