Unfortunately, no. I don't really have a FB.

This thread is my last hope.

My guess it’s the bushings on your UCA loosen them jack it up let back down torque it back down. If the UCA was torqued hanging all the way down and the tire put back on truck lowered back to the ground the bushings bind up and start to crunch. Can apply to other bushings in suspension.

Sounds like bushings to me… my LCA bushings were shot and started to sound just like that.

Thanks. I'll see if I can give that a try tonight! Hoping it's something simple like that.

@vonellis I just did what you recommended, and it definitely seems better. I couldn't duplicate the issue until a made a fully cranked wide turn into my parking stall at home then when I reverse to check one last time, it seemed to be back, but very quiet now. I'm going to plan loosening both sides again and cycling the suspension a few more times this weekend. Maybe the lube I applied will work in a bit in that time also.

    Thanks for the help.

You mention the you put the sway bar back on. Did you run the truck without it, then decided to put it back? If so, it could be your sway bar.

That’s correct. I did check to see if it was hitting anything and it doesn’t appear to be. No marks. I did pull the linkage out on my driver's side where the noise is & zip-tied it to the sway bar and nothing changed. So unless it was the actual sway bar mount, I don’t think it was that. I was thinking it was the sway bar also at first.

I do think it is the UCA bushing as it’s the noise is almost gone after doing what was recommended yesterday. We’ll see….

Has anyone had any experience with the yokohama geolander a/t tires? I found some 285's for a good deal with only a couple thousand miles on them but i've never used them before. I'm normally a toyo guy but new tire prices are insane haha thanks guys

I've run them on four different vehicles and am presently running them. Love them for all kinds of reasons... but 285s are not my style because I want better mileage so I run pizza cutters. In other words... your mileage may vary.

Yeah i know the mileage isn't great but doesn't matter too much to me. I love the look of 285's on the trd faux beadlock wheels so that's the look i'm going for on mine. It's about the smiles per gallon for me haha. What size of pizza cutters are you running?

Need the money, and don't need 2 big Toyotas. A daily would be nice in addition to the taco. Full time student again as an old man.

I've had good luck buying stuff using this site. https://www.car-part.com/ There are a lot of local places and they ship. There's one in Logan (?) that is especially easy to deal with. Good prices and they usually ship more than you ask for.
