UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I didn't want it at first but after some research I found it's a pretty cool system. I like mine a lot. Very comfortable at low speeds going over uneven surfaces.

 

I had five Cherokees between model years '87 and 2001 and sold the last one about six years ago. I'd buy one today if they made one as good as those five. But they don't...

The closest I've found is my Taco. And in many ways it's better than the Jeeps.

It seems a little odd that somebody bought a Jeep and is hanging around here bragging it up like it's something to brag about on a Taco forum. No problem with Jeeps or the people that buy them, they just ain't a Taco.

 

Anyone have a Softopper they need to get rid of?

My wife and I plan on moving to WA state when the interest rates finally die down and we can find a place with some property. We will either rent out our place in salt lake or sell it. I still have some home projects to finish (new metal roof, and siding). Still on the fence about being a land lord.

Moving to Wa allows you to take some sweet trips up to BC. Idaho and OR are close to for weekend get aways as well.

 

Think long and hard about being a landlord. I've had about as many bad tenants as I have good ones... and I'm careful. I won't be doing it again.

Sad to lose ya! I have about 3.5 years until I can retire...then me and my family will likely be Texas or Florida bound!

 

I hope we don't see much more of this due to the spring run off!!!

I took a job interview as a means of having a paid trip to go visit my sister and ride bikes in Bellingham. Turns out I liked the job.

Gives me professional growth in a lot of areas I just wasn't getting in my current job or had line of sight to.

Then they offered me a frightening amount of money.

Since summer 2016. Came and went on an amazing ski season!

Reasonable chance I'll be renting my house out with a management company which gives me the option of coming back.

There's a fair chance I could be back someday, but maybe not before your timeline. Best of luck wherever you end up!

 

The wild part is Edge homes was arguing the concerns of sliding, etc were unfounded, the cert of occupancy should be reinstated, and that they were to move-in/start paying the day prior to when it... *checks notes* ...slid off a cliff.

 

yeah, i think Edge is...nuts. 2 houses slid, with the next 2 houses evacuated and cert revoked. Someone didn't do their geo tech report properly.
