Anywhere in Utah without much snow would work. Closer to CO the better.

No most of the guys that went with us were in lower rigs with not much clearance. Mine on 33s could have made it possibly if I had been locked an armored. The two first gens that went would have but not enough seats. Maybe at the end of the summer lol I wanna go up an see it at least.

Have any of you guys purchased anything from Rocky Road Outfitters? It looks like they are based in Heber. I'm specifically looking at the the sliders they offer and just wondering about the quality, customer service, etc.

That is what I was thinking. They look good and the price is right. Too bad their website looks like it came straight out of the early 90's.

I have a set, And I dont trust them for anything more than steps. the mounting is kinda shady and the flex under load is terrible. I tried lifting the truck on them with a highlift and thought I was going to crush the rocker panel. They are stout as far as the steel they are made from but the mounting and support leave much to be desired. I will be putting on the AllPro APEX sliders in the near future. So if you still want a set come june ish I would be willing to part with them. Oh yeah and they started to rust within a few months of them being put on. And not from scratches, but from where they missed with the initial powder coating.

oops ^^^^^^ so ya NVM then go for the TG sliders that lowrange has, there cheap and well made. i got mine sold in peaces, and i weld them myself and put them on myself and i thought they where going to be weak and not hold, but i already lifted them with a hi jack and they hold. so idk if im just that good at welding or what but they dont flex at all :)

Good to know. I've also been thinking about the AllPro APEX sliders and might have to just go that route too.

I had a set on my old 2002 4Runner. They mount with 2 small supports bolted to the frame and then 5 or 6 bolts to the rocker panel. I had bought them before I knew how they mounted and didn't have any way to change them up so I put them on like that. I would never use them again for similar reasons as posted and just for the fact that I had to drill 10 or 12 extra small holes all through my rockers. Was a huge PITA.

There are plenty of good Sliders out there, so If you haven't seen this, it is worth a look. I chose All Pro because I liked the way they mount and because I got a killer deal on them.

That's a great list. Plenty of great options. I ended up going with BAMF standard sliders for my Tacoma. Mainly cause I was living only 5 mins from his shop at the time and he was doing a group discount. They're definitely beefy but I've yet to get them welded on yet. Been wishing I went with the bolt on version since the day I got them.... lol

What is the galvanizing for? Does it help prevent rust?
