A lot of these pop up market have different requirements so there's not a straight answer to that. My wife has done several in the last year

 

It really depends on the particular market.

The few we've done usually ask for a State Tax ID (you probably already have this number and don't realize it) but no one has asked for a business license. They just tell you you're responsible for your own taxes

pay the space fee, set up your booth before the market "opens" and dont leave until the market is closed.

 

I won't be at a pop up market, just maybe selling a product someday

 

Yeah what you're looking at is a bit different.

 

I was controller for a "small business" when I was in SLC. Basically just needed a state business license (should be a hotljnk on the Utah TAPS site and you'll need a federal tax ID if over a revenue threshold.

Id also (depending on seriousness) look into an LLC and business bank account for liability concerns.

 

We're not up to the point of an LLC yet but we've done some of research on it.
There's a tech school here that does a lot of free courses and networking events for Small businesses that's been helpful

holy hot weekend. Wanted to go biking but decided against it on Sunday and went to Stewart Falls instead. Water felt a lot better than the heat for sure. Spent the hottest part of the day here. Soaked our sunshirts on the way out and felt cool all the way to the car.

While we were chilling, someone's doggo decided to take a dip. and not just any dip. Just lie down next to the waterfall in the snowmelt ice cold water. Don't blame him.
This little doggo even went so far as to grab his leash and try to hide it in the water so they wouldn't leave. lol.

 

I make short how-to videos for work all the time. We mostly just use an iphone (sometimes handheld, sometimes on a mini tripod) and a DJI wireless mic setup. They turn out good enough for our purposes. Might add a gimble handle thing for the phone to the kit at some point.
Edit to add: video recording the skill, and then coming back and adding voiceover later is pretty effective too.

 

Right now I have a pro on the hook, so I'm going to see where it goes with him. I have a budget, and I like the idea of less money with someone that can only do simple work... but I've tried amateurs and they have a problem getting the job done. The commitment of a professional might make bigger money worth paying.

 

It will hopefully be done quicker that way too

Trying to clean out the garage of old truck parts...to make room for a suspension overhaul.

I got some SPCs to sell...figured I'd post them here again before KSL to see if any of y'all would be interested.

I'm asking $200. They've been through 2 Utah winters and I know one of the ball joints started to have a little play in it, that's why I took them off and switched to JBAs. I did hear SPC has yet another revised ball joint that is supposed to be "good".

Rode the Mormon Pioneer Trail from Little Dell Reservoir to the Mormon Flats Campground. Took me five hours with the small detour I took, which I had to double back on because I couldn’t find the trail. It was an ass kicker of a ride.
