I might have one or two Land Cruiser friends join us if that's ok. They've been bugging me about going up AF Canyon for a while.

I probably won't be able to make this one, due to lack of finished sliders. Could ride with someone, but the girlfriend wants some time cause the past 3 weekends we've done what "I wanted to do"...

Just so everyone realizes, this is quite a few people for this trail, specially when not many have done it.

While I wont actually turn people down, dont be surprised if I warn you about your vehicle and getting damage if I dont think like it will be able to handle it. Also, it goes along the same lines that if you just dont feel comfortable doing a certain part, there is no shame is saying so. There are some bypasses, but its not like Rattlesnake where you can bypass nearly everything.

I'm sure lots of people will have extra seats as well, as you may not realize it, but a passenger helps out an awful lot on the trail. First, in being able to see the right side of the truck. Second, is to be able to quickly jump out and guide you up a path you cant quite see.

That being said, for the number of trucks that look to be coming and the experience level, I wouldn't be surprised if it took us 3-4 hours up and 2-3 hours back down.

I'm not sure I need to say this, but 4wd is required. Sliders and other armor is recommended.

Just to show some pics of one of the last times I was up there... The black first gen is my truck before the SAS, but running with a 2.5" lift and 32" tires. I'm sure many of you are comparable to the Jason's white 2nd gen (3" lift and 32" tires), which was both on the sliders and had to be pulled off the difficult section. Not trying to scare anyone, but also, I'm not going to promise a damage free day either.

There is a slim chance I might be a minute late tomorrow. I need to drop some stuff off at my inlaws in Alpine beforehand. I'm leaving my house sometime after 10:00am and it takes me an hour to get down there. I should be close to on time. If I miss you guys I can meet you at Tibble Fork or at the trailhead.

I'll be there in my new FJ, hope you guys don't mind :) It's stock except for a spacer lift, brush guard, NFAB steps (which I'll remove before wheeling) and some lights. Haven't been up AF Canyon since I had my Blue taco, is where we are going okay for stock? 33" Tires with a small lift plus locker and A-TRAC... no sliders or skids yet since I've only had it like 2 weeks
