Same chevron we met last time, Idk if there's another chevron further down towards the freeway... all i know it that its the last gas station before you head towards the mouth of AF canyon, i think the freeway exit it timpanogos hwy, or exit 92. IDK lot of ppl call it the cabelas exit.

About 5 miles east of the freeway. North East side of road at the corner of an intersection with a light. Has an Iceberg Driveinn combined with it.

    10:30 sounds good to me.

Compared to Mineral Basin, this will be a cake walk. ;)

I had to do some work in Tooele today. I decided to come home over Butterfield Canyon rd. rather then all the way around the mountain. I saw the turn off to head up to the overlook and off roading area but was pressing to get home. Its a pretty canyon. the leaves are awesome. On the SL County side, its mostly paved. A good chunk of the Tooele side is a washboard dirt road. I saw a ton of turn offs but dont know how far they went.

I definitley want to spend some more time up there.

Yep, thanks again man! And like you said, I'll probably see if CBI can add another leg for me.

I think a lot of that is private land, but I could be wrong. Did you drive up the dirt road to kennekot?

Or just have them cut that one leg off completely and redo it.

I saw what I think was the mine overlook road. Its right at the summit right?

As far as the private land, I know most of it is private. I've heard lots of stories about getting shot at. A ton of the SL side is posted. Towards the top and the Tooele county side didn't seem to be as much. Just little take offs that have some cool little rutted dirt trails. Lots of options to watch, play, or kill it.

I got from downtown Tooele to Lehi in 35 minutes. We could cover some serious ground/trails in a few hours. Plenty of room for people to spread out and not get bottle necked at an obstacle.

My understanding is that the Butterfield side (SL side) is all private. The Middle Canyon (Tooele side) is mostly public. The trail that goes up to the overlook is pretty much on the border of Butterfield and Middle, being on the Middle side, of course.
