(UTAH) October through the end of 2012 meet

Not really a whole lot. I have a maintenance weekend I need to take care of, as well as wash off all the mud from the season for winter. I think that'll end up happening the 10th.

I also have a bunch of stuff I need to take care of. Mostly wiring related in the cab though.

Then there's my stupid evap check engine light I need to actually track down to see if I can find the problem...

And of course fix or replace my sliders.

 

Greg what happened to your sliders?

 

Sorry for this late notice. I wasnt planning on going, but there a really huge group from RME4x4 that is going to rattlesnake today, there meeting at the Snake parking lot/ the entrance of rattle snake trail, cause there some ppl with buggys, there going to hit the trail at 9:30 AM so you have to be there before so you can make it on time, if your coming, im going sense my boss just texted me saying there's no work tomorrow, LMK if you coming rightnow ill be up and ill check it in the morning so i can be expecting you.

The kickout restricts me more than helps, so that needs to go.
I've also dented them up pretty good. They're either made with HREW (common since its cheaper than DOM and most people cant really hurt HREW) or they aren't .120 wall. Served their purpose, but starting to think its time for a bit more.

 

Are you gonna make your own or order from someone? I wish I had some welding skills, I'd live in my garage building some bad ass shit like Adam does!

 

What do you guys think of my welds ?????? i feel more confident now cant wait to start measuring my sliders so i can weld them on

 

I'll probably just buy some. Z has a nice welder, but neither of us have a tube bender or notcher, so it'd end up costing more to make them than to buy.

 

Gotcha, I thought for some reason that he had a bunch of equipment to fab stuff. Must be thinking of someone else...

 

I dunno if I would choose something that is expected to get beat on like sliders as my first project... but good luck

 

there going to turn out awesome im starting the measurements tonight and cutting tomorrow and hopefully just weld the legs and feet together, and later powder coat them black. well if they fall off owell ill just weld them on again

 

Wouldn't be so worried about them falling off as breaking when you're coming down hard on a rock and the entire rock-slider smashing up into the doors doing more damage then just the rock would have.

 

they wont brake, it going to have to take a lot for something that's welded to brake, maybe it might bend but if that happens then you hit extremely hard on something and most likely you didnt just slam on a rock.

 

I know I'm just saying. But I do have a nice huge dent on the underside of my passenger sider from Mineral Basin...
