such a simple thread, but to those who value the quality of a tool, well, partake of the Stanley 10-122 heavy-duty knife. after misplacing this gem for several months, purchased many others (other stanleys, kobalt, lenox......you name it),fortunately relocated this beast under my garage workbench :D. made in sheffield, england, the retractable blade WILL NOT become freed when adequately tightened via the large brass knob. tough to find and more costly than your average knife (believe pd. around $30 new) is well worth the cost, IMHO. seriously, could well be the last utility knife you will ever need. (beware of inferior versions stanley has apparently outsourced to :().

Oh wow my Lenox folder is the best razor knife (in folding catagory) I've ever had. I used it to cut truckloads of cardboard down, even used it doing sheetrock for 2 months and it held up, guess I got a good one! I have gone through alot of Huskys and Craftsmans and about 3x as many cheapos. I like the bottle opener on Lenox folder too!!

The best blade was made by Harbor Freight and was cheap. I only bought two of them but wish now I had about 20 since my wife likes to hide them if I leave them out.

It looked like this and was about $4.

It was a quick retractable that is superior to folding and had an easy flip/change blade. Unfortunately they no longer sell them.

I almost carried one of those on a plane...I had to duck into a bathroom and take off the blade then went back to check in;)
