I can vouch for that. Brian came over to my place. He had me all packed up as well. I made coffee. Tools were packed up. I heard some jeeps got you out then I went back to the beers...

That's right.... always. So be ready to pay out. Glad you got to keep your finger. And now reason to lock up the front and rear

Thanks guys, i couldn't get ahold of anyone closer. Just lucky enough a bunch of people where out there shooting guns, so they wanted to see who could make it to me. No one could lol.

Its a real kick in the balls when you're getting pulled out, and the wife of guy pulling you out is laying out the window filming on her phone.

I had a similar scene with my 4runner. Some dudes wife filmed it and put it on YouTube.... should have told my wife to choke the bitch.

Started today limping the truck home. After getting in back home it took a bit of finesse to get it back in the garage sideways now that the front and rear bumpers are on. Anyways got it in there, and up on some jack stands.

    IMG_0970.jpg

Got the tires off and then pulled both axles.

    IMG_0971.jpg

Then started to pull the diff, once we got the diff apart you could see the metal glittering in the oil, as it was pouring out.
    IMG_0972.jpg

Pulled the third and just started scraping the bottom of the housing and just got handfuls of metal.

    IMG_0976.jpg

Taking a look at the third on a bench one side wasn't to bad but the other side was fucked up, along with the pinion. Hardly anything left on the ring gear.

    IMG_0981.jpg IMG_0987.jpg

Its nice to have it apart and see the damage now it times to check everything out and make sure nothing else broke.

I'd be willing to bet the pinion was loose or the bearing failed. Started flopping around it there and didn't mesh with the RG correctly. Pinion caught a ring tooth and the rest is history. Mine is starting to sweat/weep a little from the pinion seal.

Got the diffs back from nitro gear and axle today. Their team turned them around in 4 days. 4.88's with front and rear lockers.

Front is ARB, rear is TJM.

Nitro still had some TJM's that were manufactured in Australia before they moved product to Canada and being bought my summit racing. They have also been seeing issues with the rear ARB 3rds seals going out and sending oil back up the line to the compressor. Both come with the same warranty from the manufacturer and install warranty from nitro.
