I know but it's nice to have your own and not rely on others I have impact tools so makes it alittle easier as well. Also more tools more people helping quicker fix it. I'm just damn excited haven't been on a trail in a while

I know there is an 'Ultimate Camping thread' but in an effort to keep it small and simple, what are people sleeping in and on?
The last time I owned tent was about the last time I owned a CB radio (16 something years ago) :)

20 degree sleeping bag? Holy cow. How "hot" does it get in there when it's not really 20 degrees? I don't want to end up sweating like a pig if I get something with that temperature rating.

Uh...you can decide what rating you want, but lows at night that time of year will probably be in the 30s, and that's the comfort minimum for most 20 degree bags...

I have bags from -20F to 60F in 20 degree increments (yes, 5 bags...don't ask), and I can tell you that 0 to 20 is almost assuredly what you'll want for this time of year...

    Easy cheating:

Bring layers. Base layer, fleece layer, including socks. You can turn a 20 degree bag into a 0 degree bag by wearing the right clothing to bed, and vice versa.
