I am new to the forum but have been a member of TTORA for about 6 years or so. Finally have my truck set up to go. Are jeeps allowed and is anyone on here or going familiar with TTORA and NCTTORA members.

I am intersted in going and the date might actually work if my work load isn't over bearing.

So it shows all we need is food, beverages, personal full size spare, and a tow strap.

    Thanks

Damn .. I really want to go but
    a) I don't know yet if I can (have to check the wife's calendar lol)
    b) I've never done a trial in my life. Am I going to f up my truck?
    c) Lifted sport with stock tires.

    Y'all can't help me with a), but how about b) and c)?

    Oh,
    d) I have no winch. What is the fastest way to get a front bumper which done properly?

...read the OP. There are trails here that are doable in stock 2wds. You will be fine. All the trails are two way. If you come to something you don't want to chance, you can always turn around and toodle right back out to where we came from. Better yet, just get a spot from someone who knows what they're doing with it and you'll get through fine.

Winches are overrated. If you're going to get some "emergency armor" before this trip, take the money you would've spent on a front bumper and winch (about $1500 at least) and get sliders and an IFS skid instead (probably 6 or $700 combined). They'll open up way more possibilities for you than a bumper/winch.

I'm coming and I'm excited. Like I said, this will be my first meet and first trail run. Excited as hell.

I'll get there Friday and stay Saturday, but I'll have to head back in the afternoon.

Can we get a convoy going? I'm right here at the I20/I95 interchange so I'm sure there will be a lot of folks coming through here.

btw what kind of communication equipment should I bring? I don't have CB but I can always get a handheld unit. I do have a set of those pesky 40 chan personal radios.

CB is preferred. Failing that, yelling out the window.
