I'm posting here to try and raise some awareness and get the word out about Uwharrie. Earlier this year before the trails opened again for the season at one of the monthly work days the FS got orders from the Atlanta office to shut down part of Rocky Mountian Loop. The section that was shut down contained one of the main attraction of the forest, Kodak Rock. From what the FS says it is only TEMPORARY. We've all heard that before. This happening has really brought it to our(FOU, users of the forest) attention that we need to change what was going on. What is needed now is help, whether is is sending a donation to FOU (info about FOU below) or coming out to the workdays. We dont want another Tellico on our hands.

Info about FOU here and cross post from NC4X4

Link to the Next workday if anybody is interested in coming out Click Here

Thanks to anyone who donates, or helps out at the workdays. Just remember to spread the word, we are trying to do this as a team effort to show that we care about Uwharrie and dont want it taken away.
