    Because typically they are more fun than not. Mine for the 4th year in a row asked for a horse for Christmas. Guess it's about time good ol' Dad looks into horseback riding lessons.

    Old man I share a fence line with in Texas told me when my oldest was born. “When she gets old enough, get her a horse. It’ll give her something to do rather than focusing on boys. Then when she starts with the boys she’ll always have something to fall back on that doesn’t break her heart.”

    haven’t taken him up on that one yet. But one day I hope to have the land for it
