Are the trails marked with a difficulty level? I would hate to get half way through a trail and get stuck, lol!

They are marked on the map. Just stay off Dickey Bell and Daniel and you should be good. There are spots on the easier trails that have been rutted out and can be tough to get out of if wet.

Like @Sandman614 said, trails are marked. Stay off all trails that start with letter "D".

If solo, Maybe start on the far side at Wolf Den. Get a feel for things. As you can tell by this thread, several of us go frequently. Feel free to come out!

Seems like a solid chance to try out crawl control, haha

But in all seriousness, thank you all for the replies. I will go check it out soon.

New guy here. I'm heading out to Uwharrie for a bit on Saturday morning, 8/5. Any of you guys going to be out there? I've taken my Tacoma down Wolf Den a couple times, but nothing more adventurous than that so far.

Be careful on Rocky Mtn loop, there are some holes that have been rutted out that will swallow a truck. They are after you make the big hill climb with the left turn through the rock garden.

I might be out there. Waiting to see if I can get someone to ride along with me or not. Not trying to ride alone my first ever trip out.

Whew, you weren't kidding. Rocky Mtn loop was rough. Falls dam trail was fun.

Yeah it was rough. We were on the loop backwards so we hit the ruts first then did the down hill. Very fun, also very intimidating for a first timer. I had a great spotter so we made it just fine!!

We might make the trip up from Charleston. There is also an Overland Bound coffee meetup Saturday morning, with some trail runs after of course.

Newbie to TW but not to URE. I live near albemarle and URE is pretty close. Me and my friends have always gone on fourwheelers but Im wanting to test my tacoma on some easy trails next time we go on a trip. It needs some more work for me to be comfortable with it but I think it can handle some mild stuff. I dont ever want to put it through anything major though its clean and I want to keep it that way lol.

You'd be surprised how little they need to do anything there.

Yeah its not that I think its incapable (Ive seen stock vehicles on street tires going where modded ones go) I just dont want it to get beat up. It would be a time where I take my fourwheeler too but play with the tacoma some first. I think me and my friend will try to get a good fall trip set up.

I'd start with sliders and then bumpers/skids if you want to go that far. Then go hog wild on snorkel and lights lol.
