I’ve actually been considering Old 105. But was waiting until I had something more substantial to do also planned at the same time. That’s quite a distance to drive for a mild dirt road. I need to get back up to Hot Springs at some point this year anyway

there is a trail in Hot Springs you can take up to an old fire tower. I drove my Crosstrek up it.

Yeah I think that’s my problem. I know there are trails in NC, I’m not not familiar with where they all are. A bit more hidden than places like Colorado and Utah. But I’m sure that makes them even more worth it cause they’ll be even less crowded

    Stock for now.. maybe
So true. I see one of those ugly rear end slammed trucks almost everyday now. Makes me cringe evertime while shaking my head. No!!!

I always try to see who is driving but they usually have tented windows too. I'm guessing high school kids?

You'll be surprised what you can do with 2wd . This was when I was still 2wd before I converted it to 4wd

Being 2wd never stopped many of us from hitting some trails. Same for Cam.
It lets you find the limitations of what you can do with 2wd and a locker.

I don't mind taking a strap every once in a while, I just dont want to be a burden on difficult trails so I normally pass them up.

With you and Cam now converted, hopefully i'll have finished gathering parts soon and be ready to hit some more difficult trails next year.

Alright. You've convinced me that I need more of this in my life. I am fairly new though, so whenever a trip is planned and someone doesn't mind helping the noob so I don't break anything, I am down. Truck is still at stock height.

Should be good now for most trails. No longer in the RWD. I had been contemplating trading it in for a few years and just said F*ck it
