Lovely to see Uwharrie in the fall. Great morning time pics too! I suddenly have a strong urge to listen to Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water'...

November 11th/12th wheeling with a few guys from work. Couple trailered jeep rigs and myself.

First trip to URE, looking forward to it.

    Yep.
Arrived in Bisco Friday afternoon, checked into the hotel, stopped by the outpost then hit some trails for some night wheeling. Daniel was first on the list for Saturday, we were the only two rigs on it. Then it was Dutch John and Dickey Bell, they were packed. Rest of the day was just trail cruising. Good times.

I passed that long travel 2nd gen in the last picture on 70 yesterday when I was heading that way to pick up some frame rails.

Hello All - I am sorry to h-jack the post. To be honest, I dont own a Tacoma. I own a 2023 Tundra. I could not find anyone on the tundra forums thus far to speak to Uwharrie trails. I have not done a lot of 4-wheeln on trails at all. Some on hunting lands. That is about it. Would like to go to Uwharrie with the new truck and just give it a try on a very easy trail. Not looking to go into crawl control and or needing lock the differential. Would really like some advice and recommendations. Mind you - I have ceramic coated the truck so I am not looking to get in any very tight situations. It is a TRD-Pro and I have 34.5's on it. Thank you again for your help

The "not looking to get in any very tight situations" is where your gonna run into problems. WolfDen, Falls Dam and SawMill are all relatively easy. But in a fullsize, it's gonna get tight.

There is a sweet gravel road that goes to the mud pit. Taking a 2023 tundra on any trails that you don’t want to get any type of pin stripes is risky, it’s such a big truck. On the other hand you risk door dings in a parking lot. I say send it! Stay away from the trails that start with D’s

Well you all made up my mind..... No to picture number 1. Yes to picture number 2. I really wanted to try to do a trail with the Tundra but I am not looking to get it scratched/dinged up. At least not yet. 417E65E2-1158-4F60-9050-E8E6D3469F32.jpgC40AB4A5-DDAC-4D33-AC6A-FD8270C970C8.jpg

Well you make sure to share those plans with the class. A support convoy might not be a bad idea.
