If you're looking for amenities like an actual bathroom and I think they have showers then yes. We will sometimes camp at the group sites down there. Also it's closer to the water for the yak. Being there I would feel more comfortable leaving the yak at camp than camping on the side of the trail, yates place, or hunt camp.

Crawl is only for when you are stuck and you need assistance to get unstuck. If you are looking for a reason to use MTS and your rear locker, than URE will give you plenty of opportunities to do so.

Ya...i understand the concept and utility of the features...i was a kid with a new toy messing with all the buttons ... that being said ...this is my DD and 11 hours from home... im going to be on conservative side and will take advantage of those features as needed....but as my first post read...green and looking to get my feet wet....

I truly appreciate the offer and look forward to taking on a few trails with you. I know my way around the buttons and knobs...just looking forward to meeting new like minded people and exploring.

Anyone know of a place in the greater Triad area where I can take my front struts to for assembly? Paid a guy $100 last time and that seems a little expensive. I have no issues with removal and installation, just don't wanna mess with a spring compressor.

Maybe track down Apex Overland, they are in that area I believe. Josh can likely do it. I do not have contact info however. He does have a website

No spring compressor needed, just be careful and have a knowledgeable friend help. Not 1st gen but similar.

I am learning my gen3 OR. I really haven’t had to use my stuff yet.dont really need the technology on the non D trails.maybe helpful on Rocky Mtn Loop but I took a gen3 Sport up my first time in Uwharrie last year.I did trade it in for the OR after a year though..

Since you have the OR, may as well use everything that you have available. No sense in making trails more difficult than they need to be ;)

MTS + rear locker, and you will walk right on up about anything (within reason).

I'm open, open diffs with an 05 no technology just line pickage, throttle control, brakes, and gear selection is what I have to work with. Imo not replying on the technology can help you become better at offroading
