Uwharrie National Forest " URE " permanent thread

Haha dude I was puckered up too on the Dutch trail. I’m usually terrified the entire time so you’re not alone haha

I was so nervous with the possibility of mud and sliding in to something, I only took one pic and forgot to turn the camera on...

 

Had a blast today doing some of my first somewhat technical stuff even if it was just on Rocky Mountain loop, can't wait to get back out there and learn some more

 

No that ditch on Rocky mtn loop after the hill climbs where you have to zig zag the rock on the side wall got me

 

I’ll give you some belly button lint and a candy bar.

 

Got.a little stuck there had to go hammer down style and pin it bounced off the rev limiter and blasted out. My friend Kathryn was like and you drive this every day you give it hell out here. Then pulled up to some jeeps guy says I like the way you cleared that trophy truck style. It was funny guess they are use to slow wheeling. He was also really impressed with the sliders!!!!

 

Hell you followed my crazy ass down Dutch and did really well as soon as I get kiddo settled down and in bed I'll post the amateur video I took. You did really well kept pace and had good lines.

 

Y'all both did well you'll get more comfortable and a better idea of what the trucks can do and all the little noises they make the more you go. Just gotta keep your momentum and a better feel for when to give more gas and let off. You'll get it!

 

Thanks! Storming here but had the truck in the garage. Did a quick look underneath with all the banging. I bent one factory bolt on the bottom of the frame. So the sliders are on permanent unless i cut the bolt..lol

 

Yeah Dave and I both railed ours hard coming out of Dutch but no bent bolts

Haha yea man I know! But glad I could meet up with you guys even for a bit. Hate I had to head back but didn’t want to get home at midnight

 

I took me and him on a wrong turn again started doing dickey backwards

God I’m glad you caught that haha

 

Eh I think dickey may of been easier backwards. I want to get just as comfortable going down the hills as I am going up. I will say I was nervous as hell as I started down but then as I felt what was happening I felt extremely comfortable and calmed right down.

 

Here’s a few pics I got. Unfortunately none of them are during any of the fun parts cause I drive a stick and the Jeep requires all hands on deck haha.

 

Yea I was pretty nervous when my back passenger tire came up about a foot or so but as soon as the Jeep settled I calmed way down. It was nice watching you run it before hand for sure

 

I need you and @caterpilllartacoma to watch @3milecreek buddy drive stick off road that dude is an animal. He can wheel the shit out of that jeep. None of us knew he was a manual until Eddy asked and it surprised the shit out of all of us.
