    Yep I've got it grounded I'm going to work on the ground and make it a little better then find a better place to tune it. Even the biggest parking lot has too many buildings around. Best I've been able to get is ~2.75

    Tried it kinda in a low spot and it has buildings all around got readings above 3 there. There is a road with really good sized fields not far probably go there. Just google eathed a bunch to look around.

    Buildings surrounding the parking lot won't make a big difference as long as you're not parked right up against them. Sure ideally you want to be on an unobstructed mountain top with not even an ant in sight.. But for our uses and most people's uses (truckers) this is done at a truck stop. You gotta remember what you're measuring and tuning.. The antenna to the radio.

    I know but where my walmart is there is a lot of reflection. May have also been the time of day there were a shit ton of cars. I am going to go and mess with it in the country. Also going to make sure the mount ground is really good. Once I get this as good as I can I'll be looking into HAM stuff

    Please don't ride around the trails in 2wd..all that does is tear them up, and the jeeps/sxs/atvs/bikes are bad enough on em.
