I got recovery gear if we can make it. Most everything at Uwharrie all you need is a little tug from a snatch strap because you got high centered. Only time I have needed a winch is to roll over rolled vehicles from Kodak rock which I dont think you can even get to now.

Haha...thats true. The winch on my truck right now has only been used to pull trees down with so its lived an easy life so far.

So how many folks are on the list now? I gotta sell it to the wife that there will be "multiple business opportunities, i.e. customers" instead of I just want to go to Uwharrie for the first time this year and not "work" :p

I am currently using an ARB strap:
    http://store.arbusa.com/Tow-Straps-Recovery-Gear-C19.aspx

But have used and love Bubba Ropes as well but they are pretty spendy. I also can get TJM stuff, smittybilt, and other brands if you had something in mind. I like ARB because its quality for a reasonable price

Pm sent about the equipment we have been talking about. Maybe I can get the truck ready before the expo

Anybody looking to get a new battery soon. Lol. I may get a dual battery setup from ben and will need to swap out the current one.

I'm bringing a couple straps I've "acquired", and some Jim Beam. Jim Beam helps with everything, right?
Anyways, I'm thinking about getting one of those tiny grill things. Or a shopping cart to put over the fire and cook on. Anybody else bringin a grill?
Oh and uh, I'm guessing it's a no, but does anybody know if it's ok to shoot a shotgun or bow there?

Unless it rains like crazy you shouldn't have any issues with needing a winch. I only got stuck once when I went and that was just from taking a bad line and I still got out with my own power.

There is a gun range at Uwharrie. It is either open, or close to being open. Call the ranger station. Its been a few years since its been open and they have been redoing the range. Looked nice the last time I saw what they were building but have not been by in months. I doubt there is a bow range but maybe?
