Today, I ran some power to the cab for the Indel B fridge/freezer.
I was thinking of running something temporarily just so I can use it for a trip that's just around the corner, but last minute I decided to just run it permanently. I'm just going to run a separate line to the bed and have the power ready on both locations for 2 different fridge options.
As for the in-cab location, I went to the cubbies behind the back seats(driver side)


Ran the harness through the firewall - through and under the rocker moldings along with the stock harness - and lastly I had it come out from under the furthest back part the carpet and behind the rear cubbies and back out to side of the cubby into the surface mount socket




I used the dremel to cut the hole on the cubby and run the harness to the socket. (Love it when I get to use the dremel)




I used the ARB fridge/Freezer wiring harness, and surface mount threaded socket (part number 10900027)...

Now, I'm in the middle of building a quick platform for the Indel B to sit on the back-side of the driver side back seat...Should have it all wrapped up tomorrow

Yesterday I made a quick platform out of 1/4" plywood glued to 1" foam insulation for the fridge. Carved out one end of the foam to make up for the high point of the back seat (while the seat is down. I mainly needed to make it flat and and used the foam insulation to add some dampening and possibly prevent damage.






Once the fit I wanted was achieved I sprayed painted them flat black. This took forever because I needed to at least paint the edges of the foam but as you all know, spray paint (or any solvent base product) and foam dont get along too well and the foam will melt if you dont spray ever so lightly and do like 1000 coats ugh... Time was something I did not have any to spare, so I sealed it with some old paint laying around lol, and once that dried I was able to spray away.
If I dont counting the awesome process of watching paint dry, this took me about 45 minutes to make, and I'm happy with the temporary result. Though I'd like to make a different base/platform that would actually seat on the floor/cubbies to make the fridge lower and allow the lid to open more.

Here is the fridge finally on.

 

Today I tackle installing OEM bedside rails to my BPF rtt rack. (These came out of a long bed so I had to cut them to fit between the mounting points of the rack)

This made it possible to used my 4xinnovations HiLift mounts again and rotopax again.

 

Time to hit the road today! Love the mauds homie!
