This Taco is only my second Toyota, the 1st being a '12 Rav4 with our engine's cousin (2GR-FE). Now, that platform had lots of time to mature before I got mine, but man - solid little SUV. No weirdness or problems whatsoever. I was spoiled!
Then the 3G taco came out and well.. I just fell in love with it. I knew better than to buy a vehicle in it's first M/Y, but WTH eh? Just means I've had to get some stuff looked after that later customers did not.

99% sure I got 0062-18, I took it in for service on Tuesday and they said they did it. Will double check when I get back Sunday night.

I did pull off the highway for 5 minutes and shut the truck off, seemed to help a little since RPMs went as low as 1700

yea....now everyone getting higher rpm’s should check their gas mileage.....bet it goes way down.......i would think higher rpm’s would equate to more gas usage

Assuming you are due for the latest update, you cannot load a non-current calibration in, the update program verifies the latest file is downloaded and if not, informs you there is a more recent choice. It won’t let you load an incorrect file, either.

Chances that you do not have the latest calibration after a recent update are very slim.

I think it should be the other way around. OVtune has like 1 galaxy ahead of Toyota when it comes to how this truck should drives and fells. IMO

I believe he is already is working with Toyota now although it's not on Tacoma stuff. He said he can't give details but I assume it's with their racing development. Trust me, Toyota noticed his work on the Tacoma

Does anyone know if this is applicable to a 2019 TRDOR? I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing the same thing here.

Not this specific TSB that is topic of discussion in this thread. However there is another similar TSB for the same/similar issue. You can look on this forum, use a common search engine for Toyota T-SB-0092-20, or see the attached file in this post.
