I lost the (2) 10mm engine cover bolts when replacing the plugs on my 2010 Tacoma.
They dropped in the grass and I gave up trying to find them. Any one know the oem part number.
    Thanks

    the acorn nuts?

Ill give ya mine if thats the case...............cant use it with a supercharger anyhow

    PM inbound

    or

if ya want, u can also take the stud OUT and take it to ace/miners/lowes/home depot, and have them match the threads to a new acorn nut.

if its the 2 lil acorn style nuts that hold the plastic cover/shroud on, u can use vice grips carefully on the end of the stud and take them out.........I THINK they are normal threads (counterclockwise to loosen).

the last 1/8" or so wont have threads............grab them there

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
LOL vice grips - the tool of last desperation. And hey, I'm not bashing, I've been there, done that, glad to have the damn things in my tool box!

But if the OP wants to get the studs out with the Right Tool, they're set up for e-torx (female torn socket). The size is pretty small, looks like it's in the 4-7mm range.

That would be a heck of a trick, since most of the top end in the truck is either plastic or aluminum. I guess you could glue a set, one on the engine side, one on the cover. I think I'd rather roll down to ACE and find some stainless metric acorn nuts. ;)

Come to think of it, *is* there any steel that would take a magnet? I had mine off this weekend and don't recall seeing any.

I don't mean place magnets in the truck, I mean magnet to pick up lost objects

suppose you have never seen a roofing crew run magnets on customer lawns to pick up
staples and nails after a job, nor seen a magnetic bar on a street sweeper...

So, really ? those acorn nuts are not magnetic ?
run a magnet in the grass and they won't pick up ? LOL

Dude, try decaf. I understand now. Course, it took you being a d*ck.

And no, I'm not a roofer, nor am I often seen crawling around under street sweepers.

Settle down Beavis, even I knew what he was referring to. Magnets? To hold on a plastic cover?

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,
just go to the hardware store.

Careful, these are 10 mm hex. Not a 10 mm nut. It is probably a 4 or 6 mm stud.

A pair of these will cost about $0.50 or less.

Need the stud . Vibrated out after flooring it with a cold air intake and chip for a while. Lost the nut with it. Where can I get these beside the dealer? As I don't care That much. It may run cooler without it, Maybe?
