Highway though yeah ? My truck never sees the highway and usually cruises at 60-75 km/h on hilly , rural roads

ya, all highway. the speed limit is 90km/h most of that stretch, going with the flow I was doing 100-105 km/h.

    WTF?

Best tank I've had was 545km. And that was driving Miss Daisy.

I never let my tank get that low:eek:

Couple tanks ago I set a new best at 300.90km driven, 32.86L going back in, making for 10.92L/100km (or 21.5MPG). I've been doing hardly any city driving, I think that makes a huge difference.

Rear camera anytime switch, 4x4 Illuminated Switch (from rcbs204) , rear view mirror lift bracket (from ImMrYo), 75 cent tailgate anti-theft. Technically not mods but give me a break I'm trying to fill space here... OEM Leather pkg, keyless unlock & ACC chime silence, BakFlip G2, Ultra Gauge EM, WeatherTech floor mats, OEM roof rack
    Same here basically...

Pretty sure Krazie drives exclusively with a tailwind and downhill only. :D:D

625km on 71.3L, 120km/h typical speed, a/c blaring, 85% highway. I'm impressed by 20.6mpg. I would have to baby my old 3.4 4runner (110km/h max) and turn the a/c off to get these kind of mpg's. I bet i could get 24mpg if i baby it.

Decided to stretch out my tank yesterday. Light came on at 550.8km. Kept driving until 589.4km, and took 68.23L to fill it back up. Works out to 11.6L/100km, or 20.3MPG. Probably could have kept going for a while...

All those numbers are impressive and interesting but I usually don't let mine get too far past 1/4 tank, more fuel in the tank keeps the fuel pump cooler and less shit going thru the fuel system from the bottom of the tank. Most I've ever had to put in was about 68 litres, fuel light was on. Didn't check mileage, my truck is a us import and I'm too lazy to do the conversion, because it just doesn't matter that much to me.
No I'm not rich, I just don't have to drive very far, I've only got 75K miles on it, low for the year...
One thing I noticed about the truck, when I load it up with quad in bed, cargo trailer with another quad and hunting camp and try to do 120-130 kph I get v8 mileage. Actually had to stop for gas before my buddy in his hemi dodge.
Had trouble living that down until his rear end grenaded at 110,000 km. now I'm laughing again...p.o.s. Dodge!

You can run to the light coming on and still have 15 litres in the tank , I think that will be fine

    You're probably right.
I was talking more about running it to within a litre or two of running out, or less.

I generally don't, if I can avoid it. But by the sound of it I've been worrying for no reason.
Time to see how many k's my old lady driving habits get me....
