I've been looking at a few used Tacomas, all V6 2nd generations and either double or access cabs, and they have some different mpg's listed. Anywhere from 16city/18hwy to 16/21. Years have ranged from 2009 to 2012's. Any change in mileage over the past few years or is this just a generic or inaccurate mpg guess on a used vehicle sticker. All where at Toyota dealers as well.
Don't mean to split hairs on numbers, but I drive about 25,000 miles a year and currently get much better mileage so this may sting a little.

mine is about 21 hwy and 18 city.
it varys alot with how you drive, the years do not add much of an effect.

Keep it stock with the 245's and no lift if you want the best mileage. Also, don't let the engine rev past 2k rpm. I quite often get 22 mpg. The best I've done is 23.7 mpg.

Slightly lifted double cab short bed 4x4 with stock sized tires I'm getting 21 MPG mixed driving, I'll dip to 18 MPG on long highway runs. I'm running the stock 265/65R17 Bridgestone Duelers that come on a TRD Sport.

I can count on averaging 20 mpg overall (60% highway) if I keep the RPMs below 2000. I have gotten as good as 23 and as bad as 18, but it usually comes in just above 20.

My best with stock tire and 3" lift going up to the mountains and maybe 50 miles down was 21.8 mpg. Average highway and city to work is 19.5. I drive like a old man though
