Just for verification. Ordered some ngk spark plugs. They’re supposed to be gapped at .044. I checked them and they are all between .040 and .041. Will the gaps open up with use? Is 3 thousandths going to throw my truck off?

I would'nt think so...why not just set them at .044?

Yes, the gap will get larger as the plug wears.
I wouldn’t mess with gapping them for .003”.
That’s not much, and I’d rather be a bit on the smaller side than larger.

Thanks. I ended up leaving them at the spec I received them at. So far I can tell much difference.
