The Toyota FSM (Factory Service Manual) has the detailed instructions for this job but they're not all in one spot in the book. You have to search different areas of the FSM to cover everything involved with this job. In the video I posted, we use the FSM as a reference. I know the video is long, but if you watch it, you'll have everything you need. We cover everything including the part numbers and torque specs. Read the video description for corrections on the parts list and other helpful tips.

Just spoke with my Tacoma Tech, he will be doing it Saturday for $150 labor. I said no, I'll give you $200 instead. He is a damn good guy and worth every penny to me :amen:

So with these parts and labor, I'm at $375 total:

OEM VALVE COVER GASKETS (2) 11213-62020
OEM SPARK PLUG GROMMETS (6) 11193-70010
OEM VALVE COVER BOLT SEALS (16) 90210-05007
    OEM CAMSHAFT PLUGS (2) 11188-62010
OEM ALUMINUM HALF MOONS (4) 11183-62010
    OEM PLENUM GASKETS (2) 17176-62040
    THROTTLE BODY GASKET (1) 22271-62040
    TOYOTA FIPG (1) 00295-00103

Just got the truck back tonight. All replaced and 100%. The past owner had Fel-Pro gaskets on

Glad to hear it’s back and not leaking!

I would struggle to blame the Fel-Pro gaskets though. I’ve used them many many times on other vehicles without problem. I would consider them next best to OEM.

My guy told me the cam plugs were leaking also, but the fit of the OEM vs Fel-Pro were much different. I swear by OEM for VW and Toyota

I would also go OEM for anything German or Japanese. But for domestics Fel-Pro has been good
