v6 valve stem seals

    I am replacing a blown head gasket on a 1997 4runner with the 3400 engine,I am replacing the valve stem seals whyle its apart and the new seals are two different sizes, does anyone know if the larger seal goes on the intake or exhaust valve. I measured the diameter of the valve stems and they are the same.
