Took me about 2 months but I did it...I successfully swapped a 2.4 with a 4.7 out of an 03 Sequoia into my 99 regular cab Tacoma

ok, I see what you did. You're now using hood lock pins instead of the hood latch. Not bad,

Will the air-conditioner parts fit under the hood with that V8?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Too cool! Then you will enjoy seeing my 325i with a 5.0

Was a tight squeeze and cheap to do. Well not cheap in hours spent, but super fun to drive.

I can only imagine the power to weight ratio on that little truck must be awesome.

    There's no replacement for displacement!

ya'll I took the AC out because of the wiring harness differences but I kept the compressor just for the pulley. There is no fn manual for this build or mounts lol. All was hand built and welded by myself. This thing is a tire shredder. No 4x4 but the auto transmission was used and never unbolted from the engine. The old lil 4 banger was a manual but I did not want a column shifter so I installed a floor shifter from Mr. Gasket, it needs to be moved back about 3 inches to clear the radio panel. I did Toyota with Toyota because you rarely see that. Usually it's an LS or some sbc.

So do you have AC? What was the cost to swap? What about 4x4? Same transfer case or are you using the V8 one? Super interested!
