    OP,
Are you using the stock front diff? Does the oil sump fit over it?

Any notes on the gauge cluster wiring? Hoping to keep mine as clean OEMish as possible. Still havent started my swap, I've been down since Nov, bought a donor (salvage) 4.7 '03 4runner in Dec. Told the wifey I wouldn't start the project until we move to a bigger house for our growing family.

what would be different for the swap if I used an 06 4runner. Does VVTi change anything with it.

Doesn't the 4runner use the same a750f that come in tacomas?

So if i get a vvti then i wouldn't have to worry about trans?

That's a loaded statement. The trans will be the same as in your V6 Tacoma but the bell housing is different and you may have to move the transmission forward or backwards depending on how you fit the motor in the engine bay. What I gathered is that You can't bolt it in using the existing frame perches and 4Runner motor mounts because the oil pan will interfere with the front diff (ADD tube)

Would a DB 6inch lift kit help with this? This is my current setup. Would love a v8 swap with a supercharger.

I'm doing a non VVT 4.7 and planning on wiring to my (VVT?) A750F from the tacoma. Still havent started or got a definite answer on what the actual difference is. May not find out until I get started on it lol. I have the entire donor '03 4runner tho so I may find I just use the ECU and wiring harness and it works with the 4runner tranny and just use the Taco transfer case.

Bell housing is 100% different and possibly the torque converter

Won't work. The none vvti computer will not know how to handle the A750 trans (4speed vs 5speed) among other factors

Wiring and immobilizer would be the biggest difference
