    I have a personal trimmer for the public hair. I'm scared to slice the peens with a razor.

    I'm just highly impressed that the stock transfer case , axles and diffs handle the v8... v8 + 37s is just unbelievable. Toyota tough FTW

    The 4.7 isn't exactly a powerhouse V8. It's about the same hp as the V6 with a bit more torque. The 05 4.7 had a bit more hp though.

    I'd still love to have a 4.7 in my Tacoma. My wifes V8 4Runner feels so much smoother and easier accelerating.

    The 37's are a different story :muscleflexing:

    The 2.7l 4cyl has 160 hp and 120lb ft of torque

    The 4.7 has over 100 more hp and 100 more lb ft of torque.

    That's a very big difference in a truck designed around a 4cylinder. It may not feel like a racecar but I guarantee it's fun as fuck to drive and has plenty of power

    I think he's talking about the 4cyl.

    The standard non-vvti 4.7 has around 320lb.

    I had an 05 Tundra with the 4.7 and it was definitely a step up from my wife's 04 4.7. I smiled everytime I started it because it even seemed to start more manly than hers. :burnrubber:

    1GR = 266 lbs ft of torque
    2UZ = 315 lbs ft of torque (non VVTi)

    Not sure at what RPM those peak numbers hit at....but the 4.7 has way more low end grunt no matter how you slice it.

    Peak HP numbers are similar though. But the torque win goes to the V8

    I love the comparison between the 1gr and the 2uz. I had the option of the 1gr and was completely aware of the HP numbers being close but and the end of the day I need low end torque and that's why I did the 2uz over the 1gr after all I'm not building a race truck I drive a 4x4 and torque is what matters and to top it off the reliability of the 2uz blows the 1gr out of the water. I have a 3ur in the works I'll see how the 5.7 feels soon

    They're both pretty damn reliable. I wouldn't say one blows the other out of the water in any category(except maybe torque). :notsure:

    I think my comments are being taken as an attack or insult for some reason. I'm not knocking the 4.7 at all. It's a badass motor. :cheers:
