What is a scratch? Well it is something I am going to have to deal with and see everytime I get in my truck. It is my daily driver and the one and only brand new vehicle I have ever owned. I have only owned it for a year and still make payments on it. I would love to do some mild wheeling, just have to worry about scratches as well as the fact that I have 285's so they will do a shit ton of rubbing!

Yea...I'll try and make it! Looked at the pics from the last ride up there....veddy nice:D

I was pissed the first time I took mine in the woods and put scratches all down the sides....never worried about it with a white truck.....but blue....DAMB!! Blue just happened to be the best deal I found....and bouncing around off road makes me smile and giggle :yay:Sorry that probably doesn't help Linwoodm....a 6" auto-zone buffer and the 3 step Meguir's wax afternoon will tho.

i'll pm you with details but during the week might be a little too much with the traffic in NOVA around that time of day. The first day you have free during a weekend we can set something up.

sounds like a road trip up our way!

i don't understand why anyone cares what others do with their cars/trucks. i don't see anything wrong with beating the hell out of your truck if that's your thing, or babying and taking care of it if that's your thing. just enjoy it the way you want to enjoy it, there's no need to ridicule others.

i think we are looking tentatively at next weekend unless we get together sooner during the week. there is a car port in the apartment complex i live in that would let us jack up and work on two trucks at the same time. if you want to do some work that may be the best bet otherwise i'll probably just drive up to smanz in centreville. i'm not sure how much is involved with a UCA install.

Wish I could make it up there this weekend, but my time has already been committed elsewhere

UCA should not be to big of a deal to do.

Sux that they were in backwards, instructions or atleast an alignment mark of some sort would have been helpful.

FRONT ------> would have been nice

apparently there are some trails right near me in stafford. i just need to find out where they are exactly and who owns the land. here are some shots i found from a RR thread. if i find out where this is, would anyone be interested in checking them out next weekend or sometime in the near future?

The UCAs on my '09 weren't too bad. On the '10 it was a total bitch on the passenger side. I think the amount of interference between the long UCA bolt and the fender varies from truck to truck. On my '10, over 1/2 of the bolt face was mashing into the fender. It was hitting a spot where a few sections of sheetmetal came together so bending it with channel locks wasn't an option. I had to use the beveled face of a prybar as a ramp to get the bolt head past this and it took a good afternoon of hell beating to do it.

I can do one truck at a time at my apt parking lot but I think we'll be pushing our luck if we have two trucks all taken apart in the middle of the lot. Sounds like a weekend day in Stafford is the best option?

if caduceus is going to be able to make it up for the uca's or if anyone else in the area has any little things they need done we can plan for stafford. if its just me doing work i can come up to you unless you don't mind travelling, i wouldn't want you to drive an hour to come work on my truck unless you wanted to though.

also see my post above, if i can find out where those trails are in stafford we may be able to do a little offroading too after we finish up the work if we end up doing it here.
