Anyone have a video of the vacuum pump knock? Curious to what it actually sounds like vs “normal operation.” I haven’t seen to many people on here that have had them replaced, they’re just being told the noisy engines are normal.

Mine sounded like a helicopter/double knee slapper sound from drivers seat at idle with radio and fan off, if you pumped brakes 4 times it would almost go away completely. I showed dealer brake pump temp fix process and the vacuum pump knocking tsb and they replaced it under warranty.

Gotcha! I do get a clanking/slapper noise here and there. Did yours quiet up?

Yeah, quite a bit. Now just hear the dieselish injector sound.

Good deal! Might have to look into doing the vacuum pump. Might tackle it myself!
