It would be best to measure your own truck. Too many variables in play.

Drifter with a fan is 33.5” high from the bed rails. Just toss 300 pounds of weight in your bed and measure from your bed rails to see if you can fit.

82" is going to be too short, almost certainly. My 3rd gen on stock saggy-ass suspension was slightly over 82" when totally loaded up, and a solid 83" when empty. If you have a sloping driveway you might be able to angle it in and out?

More please!!! I'd love to see a walk around of your rig. I have a white 2015 too and I love the matching color of your Vagabond. I was hooked on GFC's for quite some time until my wife got involved and threw some demands at the camper. Vagabond covers everything for us.
Affording it is our stopping point at this time.

Love the looks of your vehicle man.

I have a few walkaround videos on YouTube.

And, thanks! I love my truck.

Hopefully you and your wife can find your way into a Drifter soon. They are an amazing product.

I like the styling. Love my arb summit bumper but I'd love to go the hybrid look.

    Drifter....ARRIVED!
Hi Super, FWIW, we have the OME with Hilux springs. They seem to be fine, but I'm no expert. Cheaper than the Deavers and with a higher weight rating than the Dakars (don't remember what it is). I think Mule Expeditions in Seattle sells them. Something to consider.

Here's a pick of my truck fully loaded but no camper yet. These are a custom set of Deaver springs built at 1000 lbs over stock. Your springs shouldn't have any buckles or distortion. If they are flat or concave, then they are probably overloaded. A overload spring can be added to most leaf packs to take up this extra weight.

I went from a Drifter/Tacoma combo to an F150/FWC combo - be warned that the FWC build quality/strength will not be very good compared to the Vagabond.
Don’t get me wrong I love my FWC and I love the extra space the 8 foot FWC offers, but I loved the quality of the Vagabond and how I felt there was no shortcuts taken to produce the camper.

What are people using to replace their Tacoma 2nd gen plastic side bed rail caps??

I heard lots of powder-coating issues with KB Voodoo not sure I want to go this route. I also heard maybe Vagabond will purchase in the future a bulk order side bed rail caps from Relentless and will offer them for sale? Not sure the status on that?

Before I get my drifter I want to change out the plastic ones. When I looked at a Drifter in person I pulled up and down on the overhang and there was alittle movement of the camper and I was told by the owner it was from the plastic bed rail caps of the Tacoma. They need to be changed to metal ones I was told.

    What are people using??

    She ain't stock anymore.
Most everyone is running the KB Voodoo caps I believe. Powder coating shouldn't be that much of an issue since they're aluminum and will be mostly covered by the drifter.

I just stuck with the (3rd gen) plastic caps. No issues after a year with the Drifter on.
I pulled them off to run a big bead of silicone underneath and popped them back on.
