Gotta admit. Never thought I’d see this day lol. Congrats on your Drifter. Try not to sell it right after your trip :p

Definitely interested in a hatch screen. It’ll clear a fridge on a slide, yea?

I feel like a "Power Dork"..I don't even understand the amp, volt, and Jigawatt thing...probably from too many bong hits or concussions?? I want to power my Engle Fridge and some basic lights..thats about it.Simplicity seems like the way to go.I'd like to pick your brain once I get settled with my Habitat. Thanks man.

Yeah, I built in a little fridge door so that the screen can remain largely in place while the slide is deployed. Will definitely need some refinements, but the concept has been working really well so far.

Thanks for the suggestion! I know a lot of people use carpet. Not really interested in carpet, I don't like the look, plus my dog would turn that into a fur collector in about five seconds flat. :)

Try the industrial strength velcro or double sided tape. I used the double sided tape for my snorkel and it didn’t move once in 2 years!

Yeah, VHB is pretty killer stuff. Expensive and quite permanent, but I guess I can always scrape it off of there if needed...

Hi y'all, I plan on painting my Drifter, but not with the powder coat from VO as I can't justify the cost of that upgrade. I was thinking of spray paint as it could be touched up when it gets scratched, its more cost effective, and looks good if done right. Has anybody done this? I'd guess you'd have to use self etching primer? I've also seen tractor paint which is supposed to be extra durable, but I don't have experience with it. What do you guys think?

I'm not aware of anyone that's tried spray painting. I would definitely consider a primer and scuffing the surface. I'd be worried the paint wouldn't adhere to the aluminum.

Did anyone ever find these wall organizers? I'm looking to get one, but can't find them.

Paint will adhere to aluminum just fine. Just scuff with a maroon Scotch pad and wipe down with Acetone (Don't get it near plastic). You'll be good to go.

I’m surprised they would make them and not sell them. So I was guessing they were purchased of the shelf. They look like fancy hanging shoe organizers.

Yeah, I’m not sure if AluCab sells them separately. They might? I’m just not too familiar with their camper accessories.
