For now I have a splitter w/ gauge hooked up to a 12ft line that reaches into the truck for the heater and a smaller 4ft line that runs to the stove.

Eventually ill probably make an access port inside the passenger side factory storage cubby. I am thinking a shore power panel mounted t the underside of the cubby that I can reach under and access the propane line and electrical plug. For now ill just run it through the window cracked open

Do any of you guys have a portable fire pit for areas that dont allow ground fires and/or to reduce your footprint? I have been looking at them and so far snowpeak seems to be the best option for weight, size, and versatility.

My wife was always suggesting this but I didn't want to take up the space with a big bulky item until a friend showed me this..

We bought one and throw it in the truck during the summer for that exact reason. The burn ban months continue to grow and its just not the same without a little fire. This thing rips and so far hasn't burned up too much fuel running from a 5LB tank.

    https://www.amazon.com/Little-Campf...651&sr=8-3&keywords=camco+little+red+campfire

Back when we bought ours it was sold by camco direct and fulfilled by Amazon (prime). It looks like its no longer available, on amazon at least, through that same channel and is now listed for quite a bit more $ than we paid..

Didn’t get a chance to wire up the new 40” LED bar on the Drifter before this weekend’s trip. I don’t go out again for another couple weeks so hopefully I can get to this before then.

regarding propane campfires, this one is legit! You need to add your own rocks, but it’s output is insane

EDIT - @Quadabaum I have the snowpeak fire pit, would not go less than a size large. The quick fire also fits inside it

Pretty small mod, but I ditched the LED strip that previously ran the perimeter of the ceiling

    FCFBD057-22D9-44A2-86FB-4F600118CE37.jpg

Now I have just a single LED bar right by the Fantastic Fan. I simply took off the shroud and tapped into the 12v of the fan to power the LED bar. It feels a little on the cheap side, but it lights up the top portion really good, has its own switch and doesn’t look like an old fashioned RV light. Not sure if I’ll like this long term, so its just fastened by adhesive velcro. Worked great this past weekend.

why the switch from the strip lights? cheap adhesive backing coming off?

I used strip lights in the flippack and they held up well. the lights I used in the drifter this go around were coming off so I removed the adhesive strip they came with and replaced it with some 3M double backed, so far so good.

Either way, good thinking with tapping into the fan power

Yea the LED strips didn't really work that well in the corners trying to bend them and I was constantly fixing them. Plus the switch I got for them was a push button and when the camper is closed, the fabric of the tent would inadvertently push the switch and turn the lights on/off.

I have a solostove bonfire that I love, but have never needed to bring it camping. It doesn’t fold up or anything, so it’s kinda large. But the awesome thing about solostoves is they’re almost smokeless. They are so efficient it’s unreal.

They are coming out with 2 new sizes, the ranger is the smaller fire pit, and might not be too bad to fit in the truck. It’s on Kickstarter right now.
