Yup, they first came out somewhere around 7-7.5k. After options and what not at that time, it was easy to end up over 10-11k.

So will BAMF update their update so new people can place orders? Or will BAMF produce all the undelivered orders first and than update their website for new customers?

I believe somewhere they said they are fulfilling unfilled orders first, then will open new orders.

As i understand it Jerry is going to take care of the undelivered orders first, then offer new campers for sale. I believe May is the target for new orders.

Bug screens for the rear opening would be nice! Strawfoot used to make them, so maybe this will incentivize Garrett to start producing them again.

When I ordered mine (in 2021 I think) it was around $11.5k out the door and had a base of either $7.5 or $7750.

Y’all have to remember that you could only pick up in person (gas costs to/from) and also pay California sales tax 8.5+%.

Compare to SP which has no sales tax picked up, or GFC picked up locally if you’re near a retailer/dealer.

Did anyone get a Drifter with the new rear hatch that was offered before Vagabond production stopped and has a Picture they can post.
In hindsight I always wanted a hatch that was a little more secure and could be locked from the inside.

Are you talking about the rear panel that replaces the tailgate and has the Arctic Tern RV door?

No but that's a really nice option too. The one I'm referring to still utilizes the tailgate.

Like the lift up bed idea defiantly going to look more into that option.

I have the Drifter and Nomad on our site for people to add them to a wishlist for now.
    https://www.bayareametalfab.com/Campers_c_44.html

We won't be taking new orders until we have the current customers campers cut and beginning assembly on them. Im Hoping to have the current orders cut and formed by the end of March.

I personally cut a couple of them for them a year or two ago. I'm pretty sure I ended up getting some of them back with the abandoned stuff they left behind. I still haven't taken inventory of everything we have but I have everything they left behind when he skipped town.

Edit! We cut the full wall with the opening for the turn overland door. I don't think they ever came up with a new window hatch design.

We are most likely bringing the tents inhouse as well. So changes/upgrades will be made adding this to my notes as well.

I might be one of the few that likes the current design of the sleeping platform. My wife was able to hang out on the overhang with the folded mattress and bedding while I cooked inside the Drifter during some unexpected snow. Needed the entire bed for the little impromptu kitchen.

    Jerry remembers :)

    Rain gutter!
    Lifting bed platform, for sure!
    Added space for electrical panel!

All easy DIY projects but would be so nice integrated into the build.

It would be great if the updated tents stayed compatible with older Drifters. It's not time yet, but mine is a little tired after almost 6 hard years.
