I would just like to mention that whatever you do, you're going to have dust inside unless you don't go off paved roads.

Couldn't you just vacuum out the floor mat? I regularly did that when i had my bed rug installed onto of the decked, kept he grim at bay. I also carried a milwaukee shop vac to do this if i was on a long trip as I hated dirty floors. Speaking of which I need to get this done here shortly in the bed from out last logging operation.

    It's DLX son!
I've been running one for a year now, it's been awesome! The texture keeps things from flying around back there, has enough squish to be comfortable when crawling around. Tailgate piece makes tailgate beers great. Then when it gets too dirty from muddy shoes, hauling drywall, dump runs, etc. I just blast it off with the pressure washer. Dries out in a few hours and doesn't retain moisture.

I’ll second this they just wash clean no issues at all.

    OH MAN!!! Very exciting!

I am so anxiously awaiting that magical email from Phil and Iggy. We've been flirting with spring weather around here. That means the time is nigh for desert camping and spring skiing tailgates, and the drifter has an important role to play in those plans!:yay: :drunk:

Finally installed the diesel heater. The plan is to fill it up (kerosene) before trips and hope it lasts so I don’t have to carry any extra. The tank can hold 5L which roughly translates to 15 hours of use. I think my favorite part about it is the remote control that I can control from up top in bed.

The milk crate holds my pans and other misc kitchen stuff. I made the shelf underneath it removable so I can still access the water tank beneath it.

Also finally wired up the side flood lights using existing bolt holes. Found these hollow stainless bolts on ebay for the pos wire to pass through and grounded the neg wire to that same bolt using a ring terminal

Looks awesome! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the heater after some use.
Very interested in this option for my setup as well

Yea my hope is that it’ll work more efficintely than the buddy heater. Propane just sucks at higher altitude, but that’s where you figure you’d need it most!

Yea it worked out well. I imagine they’re not the strongest since they’re hollow and stainless, so I made sure not to crank them too hard and made sure to put loctite on them. Big thanks to my buddy @sytfu510 for putting me up on them

    ...too much shit to list.

Daaang. Link for the bolts please? I can think of so many non-sheer uses for these kinds of bolts.

The only down side is they're from China and take a month to get to you. Didn't really research if I could get it anywhere else.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/M6-M8-M10-...hash=item569689721d:m:mR_J8F6lR30aMkuoVxIfV_g

And for reference, the bolts that are on underside of the overhang section are 1/4-20, so I got M6 bolts from that eBay seller. And that's 14 AWG wire going through that M6 bolt.
